Antique Puffy Belcher Chain with Oversized Dog Clip (22")

Oooh she is an absolute classic. I think this is often the chain people move into once they’ve already dipped their toes into antique jewellery. Maybe they’ve got a little micro-curb with some charms, maybe a cable chain layered alongside it, and then at some point they want something chunkier. Something that makes the whole stack feel more luxurious, more elevated, more noticeable.

And very often, they end up with a puffy belcher. I think that is an excellent decision.

This is such a good “second step” chain because it gives you loads of visual bang for your buck. The links have that lovely elevated, rounded profile, so they sit up off the collar and look substantial and interesting, but it is still an incredibly wearable everyday chain. Nothing trend-led, nothing difficult. Just a proper classic in a slightly beefier, more delicious proportion.

And puffy belchers stack SO well. I see people buy one, absolutely fall in love with the texture, then come back a year or two later wanting another because two together look ridiculous in the best possible way.

This one also has exactly the details collectors want to see: a tag and an oversized dog clip, which gives it proper antique-chain energy. The dog clip is also an amazing functional detail because you can absolutely load it up with charms, lockets, bits of memorabilia, sentimental things, all the good stuff.

The colour is perfect too.

It is rose gold, but a bright, glowing rose rather than anything too coppery. Warm, buttery, yellow, luscious, with just enough rosy depth to make it incredibly flattering and easy to mix with other antique golds.

A brilliant chain if you want to make your stack feel more serious, more collected and more expensive-looking without losing wearability.
