My jewellery party trick has gotta be an eye for identifying and and snapping up these 90s Antique repros which you guys know I am obsessssssssssed with. I know as soon as I pick one up that's gotta be one of those late 80s / 90s babes and then I check the hallmark and YUP. We caught one. This one is Birmingham 1990, making her 35 years old. Basically there was a vogue in that period for creating REALLY faithful well-made reproductions of classic Antique chains and I go nuts for them. You get something with a little less wear, usually more clever use of gold and excellent colour but still with all the design charm of an Antique.
This one is on the short side, she fits me as a choker but also makes a delicious double wrapped bracelet or can be joined to a bracelet or extender to make a creative and textural powerhouse chain. The bi-colour chain, the double trombone links, the cable links and the dog clip AND bolt means she ticks every single box at a snip of what you would pay for her 135 year old sister. Such a winner.
