An antique ring that sits somewhere deliciously between a signet and a cigar band.
It has a bold, square face with beautiful hand-carved detailing, centred with a starburst motif set with a natural diamond of approximately 0.2 carats. The diamond catches the light in the most subtle, twinkly way, a little flash of sparkle against all that gold.
The band itself is thick, buttery, with a soft patina that only comes from a long life well lived. Despite being antique, the overall profile feels surprisingly modern with a bit of bite. There’s a lovely tension here between the chunky, meaty form and the more romantic, almost poetic detail of the star and diamond.
The colour of the gold is gorgeous, a buttery bold yellow, and the craftsmanship is really something.
