Antique Knot-Design Keeper Ring (T / 9.5)
An antique keeper ring, and a really good one.
Keeper rings have a lovely bit of history behind them. Originally, they were given as tokens of love and commitment, often to “keep” a wedding ring safely in place on the finger. Over time they became a symbol in their own right. Loyalty, protection, enduring love. Very Victorian in that quietly intense, slightly romantic way.
This one leans much more design-first than most.
A lot of keeper rings you see are quite simple, almost uniform bands of woven gold. This one actually does something with it. The knot detailing gives it real movement and texture, so it feels intricate rather than repetitive. Your eye actually travels around it, which is always a good sign.
It’s also got a great presence on the hand. A nice larger size, which makes it ideal if you’ve got bigger fingers, want something for your thumb, or are shopping for a man. Keeper rings have always been popular across the board, and this one definitely has that slightly chunkier, more unisex feel.
Colour-wise, it’s that beautiful antique rose gold tone. Bright, warm, softly blushed. Not muddy, not dull, just a really flattering, slightly pinky gold that you only really get from older alloys.
Condition-wise, it does have two beads missing from the design. When it’s on the hand, it’s not something that jumps out, but it is worth noting and is reflected in the price. You’re getting a lot of ring for that reason.
If you like pieces with a bit of history, a bit of symbolism, and a bit more going on visually than the standard, this is a very easy yes.

Please note
The expectation with antique and vintage jewellery is that there will be normal signs of wear commensurate with age eg. scuffs and patina. Lovers of antique and vintage jewellery usually value these things for giving their piece history and character.
I make every effort to clearly list any defects above usual wear, and to take clear photos that represent the item clearly.
The photos constitute part of the description and we ask you view them carefully before purchasing.
