This one is a personal favourite. Originally part of a long guard chain, it’s now the last remaining sister from a set of three. It’s an Edwardian wire wrapped oval belcher in superb condition, rich yellow nine carat gold that glows beautifully. These chains often got melted down, but this one survived with its structure intact, which makes it both rare and precious. The proportions are spot on, substantial enough to feel like a statement but comfortable and balanced enough to wear every day. The dog clip swivels, minimising bunching and is slightly warmer in tone, giving a subtle bi colour contrast that just adds to the charm. It is, quite simply, an icon. The kind of chain you wear for decades, maybe forever.
