An incredible slice of Victorian manufacturing; I melted for this girlie. I think I would struggle to find you a more iconic bracelet. Buckle motifs in Victorian jewellery symbolised loyalty, strength, protection, and everlasting love. Made iconic by Queen Victoria, these designs often represented an unbreakable, binding bond between lovers or friends, with the buckle representing the fastening of two hearts but the symbolism goes deeper with the buckle being set with seed pearls - which represented tears - perhaps she was gifted to a far away lover or someone yearning for home?
The gold is DIVINE. When you think of 15ct this is the colour you want; a pure buttery yellow with depth and character. You will ADORE this is you're a fan of true yellow 15ct.
The bracelet is semi-hollow, which is why she is so affordable for her size, but the Victorians were generous in their sheets - far far thicker than modern hollow jewellery. She has lived 100 years and will live another 100!
The integrated latch clasp is the icing on the cake, a seamless closure with the added security of a safety chain.
Another one pulled from the depths of the safe; she is really competitively priced in todays gold market.
