We all love a sexy beast Albert chain, don't we? There is a reason they have never gone out of style and a reason they keep climbing in value, and this one is a particularly good example of why.
The curb links are fully solid and mildly graduated, which does something really flattering on the neck that is a bit of me. Every single link is stamped with the Lion Passant mark, a little worn in places as you would absolutely expect from a sterling silver chain of this age, but legible and present throughout. The fixed T-bar sits at the centre, with a short tail of cable links hanging below it, and the whole construction has that satisfying, considered quality that antique Albert chains have and modern ones are always trying to recreate.
One dog clip is original, stamped R for 1916, and the other appears to be an older replacement, stamped F for 1905. Both are well sprung and in really good working order, which is what actually matters.
The chain itself is dated 1916. Over a century old, fully solid, and still max vibing.
