Gate bracelets sometimes get a bad rap — too flimsy, awkward proportions, not really built for daily wear. But this one? This one is the exception.
The design is properly intricate and beautifully balanced, made from thick sheets of 9ct gold that give it real substance. It’s solidly constructed, feels great on the wrist, and isn’t remotely flimsy — you could wear it every day without a second thought.
It came to me without a clasp, so I’ve added a vintage heart padlock. I did try pairing it with an antique one, but the gold on the bracelet is unusually bright for antique 9ct, and the vintage padlock was a much better match in tone. The end result? A gorgeous pop of texture, a secure closure, and a bracelet that holds its own at any price point. It’ll slot right into pretty much any stack and bring some visual interest while still feeling classic.
